Run a tech conference or dev meetup — free registration

Running a local meetup (React, Rust, AWS, AI, DevOps) or tech conference? Here is how to publish the registration page, cap at venue capacity, share the Discord link and print badges with no extra clicks.

Typical scenario

Antoine co-runs a monthly Rust meetup in Lyon. Capacity of the borrowed company room: 80. Before: a community subscription platform with unsuited branding and a clunky CSV export. Today, JustOneEvent handles the registration page (free), he places the meetup's Discord link in the event description (reachable from the confirmation page emailed to attendees), and he exports the CSV to print badges the day before. A page that looks like his meetup, not a generic SaaS, with no monthly subscription to pay.

3 tips for a well-run tech meetup

  • 1
Discord link in the description — Put the meetup's Discord (or Slack) URL in the event description. Registrants reach it via the confirmation email which links to their confirmation page. For zero friction, repeat the link prominently at the top of the description so it's visible immediately.
  • 2
Tech profile asked by email reply — Add a custom field 'Role / main tech' (multiple choice: Backend / Frontend / DevOps / Data / Decision-maker) to your registration form. Tune the intro and the post-talk networking groups around the actual mix of registrants, visible in your dashboard.
  • 3
Replay sent via your external mailer — JustOneEvent has no built-in 'message all attendees' feature. For the replay: export the CSV and send via your usual mailer (Mailchimp, Brevo, or simple BCC). GDPR is fine as long as the send stays related to the event (legitimate follow-up), with a clear unsubscribe link.
Save time with the writing assistant — Describe your event in one sentence and let the assistant pre-fill the title, description and registration fields suited to this type of event. You stay in control: review and adjust before publishing.
