Practical guide

Launch your event in 6 steps

JustOneEvent makes signing up to public or private events painless. Here is, step by step, what you can do in under 5 minutes — no credit card required.

Step 01

Create your free account

Sign up in 30 seconds with your email. The Free plan is enough to publish your first event and accept up to 30 registrations per month.

Step 02

Describe your event

Fill in the title, date, location, capacity and a cover image. Optional: long description, timezone, “unlisted” status for a private event.

Step 03

Share the registration link

Once published, your event gets a public URL (or a private one if unlisted). Share it on social, by email, or as a printed QR code.

Step 04

Collect registrations

Attendees fill a simple form. A parent can register their whole family in one submission. Everyone receives a unique QR code by email.

Step 05

Scan QR codes on the day

From your dashboard, open the scanner on your phone. Offline mode supported: check-ins sync as soon as the network is back.

Step 06

Export and debrief

Download the full attendee list as CSV (checked-in, no-show, waitlist). Every participant is auto-deleted after 18 months (GDPR retention).

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to publish an event?

The Free plan publishes 1 active event and accepts 30 registrations per month. Paid plans start at €9/month (Premium: 5 events, 300 registrations/month) and go up to Business (unlimited). No per-registration fee.

Do my attendees need an account?

No. The registration form is public; your guests enter their name and email, that's all. Only organisers need a JustOneEvent account.

How does the waitlist work?

When your event is at capacity, new registrations land on the waitlist automatically. If someone cancels, the oldest waitlisted attendee is promoted instantly and receives their QR code.

Does the scanner work offline?

Yes. The scanner validates QR codes locally and queues check-ins in the browser. As soon as connectivity returns, they sync. Ideal for venues with patchy Wi-Fi.

How is my attendees' data protected?

Your data is hosted in France (Microsoft Azure France Central), encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. You remain data controller under the GDPR; JustOneEvent acts as a processor. A DPA is available on Pro and Business plans.
